An Operating System (OS) allows interaction between the computer user and computer hardware. There are three common operating systems:

  1. 1. Microsoft Windows

  1. 2. Apple MacOS

  1. 3. Linux

These systems generally come pre-loaded on computers. They differ in appearance, terminology and by the way programs are organised. Our understanding operating systems resource provides a comparison between these three operating systems.
