Holds allow you to request items already on loan. 

To place a hold on an item:

  1. Sign in if you haven't already done so.
  2. Click the 'hold' button above the item record.

You'll be notified by email when the item is available for pickup at your Library (you must collect the item within seven days). If you are eligible for Home Delivery, you will receive an email to let you know the item has been checked out and mailed to you.

Students cannot request holds for items available for loan in the Library.

To cancel a hold:

  1. Sign in and click on your name, then select Library Card.
  2. In My Library card > Request > select ‘CANCEL’

The item will be removed from Request page, and you will receive an email notification for the cancelled item.

For items not available in our collection, you can place a Document Delivery request.
