To get headphones to work on the Library computers:
- Restart the PC with the headphones connected already.
If the headphones are connected after start-up, the headphones are not recognised and audio controls do not function properly.
- If you have wired headphones:
1. Plug your headphones into the headphones port located on the side of the monitor.
2. A popup will usually appear asking you to select which device you have plugged in.
3. Select ‘headphones’ > ‘ok’
4. To adjust volume, click the sound icon on the right hand side of the Taskbar.
- If no popup appears or sound is playing through monitor speakers not your headphones, try the following:
Search for the Control Panel on your computer > select ‘Hardware and Sound’ > under ‘Sound’ there are options to adjust system volume and manage audio devices.
