You may connect wired headphones and wireless headphones via Bluetooth to Library computers.
To connect wireless headphones to a Library computer:
- Turn on the wireless headphones and put into 'pairing mode'.
- Once the headphones are ready to pair, open the desktop computer settings.
- Select 'Bluetooth & devices' > 'Devices' > 'Add device'.
- In the 'Add device' menu, choose 'Bluetooth' and select the headphones you wish to connect.
- Once connected, close the settings and check that the headphones have successfully paired through clicking the volume button to ensure sound plays through the headphones.
If you have wired headphones:
- Plug your headphones into the headphones port located on the side of the monitor.
- A popup may appear asking you to select which device you have plugged in.
- Select ‘headphones’ > ‘ok’
- To adjust volume, click the sound icon on the right-hand side of the Taskbar.
If no popup appears or sound is playing through monitor speakers not your headphones, try the following:
- Search for the Control Panel on your computer > select ‘Hardware and Sound’ > under ‘Sound’ there are options to adjust system volume and manage audio devices.
If you are experiencing issues getting the sound to work on your computer:
- Try restarting your computer device.
