Q. How do I backup or save my EndNote library?

1. Open your library in EndNote

2. From the file menu, select Compressed Library (.enlx)

3. Click Next.

Before clicking on Save, it is good practice to add the date to the name of the file, so you don't confuse it with an older copy.

This file can be saved on a USB or in the cloud for transfer to another computer.

Please note: do not open the compressed file from a USB or the cloud. It will need to be moved to the computer you are working on first and then launched to avoid corruption.
