Zoom is a popular videoconferencing software platform.

If you've never used Zoom before, a great place to get familiar with the platform is the Getting Started with Zoom guide.

For UOW resources on using Zoom, check out the Zoom Quick Start Guide.
UOW has its own Zoom Portal where you can sign in to your account and personalise your settings, as well as start a meeting or connect to a meeting in progress.

Most of the time, you will enter Zoom meetings by clicking on a link sent to you by someone else (e.g. your lecturer) in an email or calendar invitation. Once you have Zoom installed on your computer, clicking on links sent to you in this way will automatically start the app and open up the meeting that you have been invited to. If you don't have the app, you can also join through a web browser.

There are digital behaviours that can really improve your Zoom experience as well. For example, it is polite to mute your microphone when not speaking. Explore these behaviours in the Common digital communication channels resource.

Find more info about Zoom and other UOW videoconferencing platforms like WebEx at the Collaboration and Videoconferencing page.
