The book you want is unable to be found, even though it says it is in the library. What should you do?

Let staff at the Loans Desk know that the book is missing. They will initiate a search for the book. If you would like to be informed of the outcome of the search, staff will make a note on the item’s record. After three business days of searching, you will be contacted by staff via email to let you know the outcome of the search.

If the item has been found, you will be informed and can come to the Library to borrow the item.

If the item is not found in our search, you will be provided with some next steps. These might include placing a document delivery request to have the book sent from another Library; accessing an available electronic copy; or informing you that the decision has been made to purchase a replacement copy.
