A permalinks is a URL that will take you to a specific resource, no matter where you are or whether you’re logged in in via any user account.
A permalink is often different from the URL you see at the top of your browser. The browser URL might be a temporary link for that activity session and may not work again later. A permalink is a permanent URL that is not expected to change over time.
Why use a permalink?
- The link won't break unexpectedly in the future
- You can access Library resources from anywhere
- You won’t be asked to pay for resources the Library already has.
