UOW Library's EBSCOhost databases, including CINAHL, Business Source Complete and the EBSCOhost eBook collection, are now using the new EBSCO user interface.

During the interface migration, only saved Articles, ebooks and Saved Searches in your classic MyEBSCO Account were automatically migrated into the new interface and made available under My Dashboard.  If your saved searches haven’t come across to the new interface, you can rebuild them by following these steps.

To view and make a note of any missing saved searches:

  1. Sign into any UOW Library's EBSCOhost databases.
  2. Select ‘Access your Classic Folder’ from the left-hand ‘Links’ menu to open the read-only view of the Classic interface.
If a cookie banner appears at the top of your screen when you open the Classic interface, please select your cookie preferences to continue.
  3. Select ‘Folder’ in the top right menu.
  4. Select ‘Saved Searches’ in the left-hand menu.
  5. Locate the search you want to rebuild and select ‘Edit Saved Search’.
Please note: You may still be able to edit or run the search in the Classic interface; however, any changes made there cannot be synced into the New interface.

  6. The detail of your saved search are listed in the ‘Search History’ section. Make a note of the Query, Limiters/Expanders and Last Run Via of your saved search.
For example, the following saved search was conducted in the EBSCO database Art & Architecture Complete. The search aimed to find any full-text publication containing the search terms ‘building materials AND environment’ and published between 2019 and 2025.
Now, you are ready to rebuild the same search in new UI by following the next steps.

To rebuild the search in EBSCO new UI:

7.Sign into the relevant EBSCOhost databases. For example, to rebuild the above search, sign into EBSCO database Art & Architecture Complete.

8.Conduct a search by entering your noted down searches terms and selecting the required Filters.

9.From the search result list page, select ‘Search actions' icon, then ‘Save search’ to save your search in the new interface.

10.Your saved searches are kept under the left-hand menu My Dashboard in new interface. Select ‘Saved’ and then ‘Searches’ to view and edit your saved searches.
