How do I do a self-evaluation/reflective journal?
Answer
A self-evaluation or reflection is where you look back and critically analyse your own performance in relation to a particular assessment task and the set marking criteria or learning outcomes for a subject. You may need to do a self-evaluation on a piece of work or reflecting on your experience at an internship.
A self-evaluation may be as simple as giving oral feedback to a teacher, writing a list of things you did well and areas for improvement or it might be in the form of a reflective diary over the course of an assessment or course. Check with your tutor what form is required of you if you are unsure.
