The 'cloud'; is a metaphor for using information or programs via the internet. The information is stored and accessed via the internet rather than via a hard drive of a computer or device. Cloud computing uses the internet to provide access to programs and information. It allows access to service and resources connected to the internet; anytime, anywhere. Data is stored online using server farms or data centers. Examples of using cloud computing are uploading photos to social media or using Dropbox. The cloud computing resource outlines types of cloud computing, benefits of the cloud and things to be aware of when using the cloud.
