You can view standards from the database SAI Global i2i online and in your browser by clicking on the "View Online" option. See instructions on accessing standards through SAI Global i2i if you are unable to view standards at all.
Standard files that are downloaded from the SAI Global i2i platforms are DRM-protected PDFs, which can only be opened and viewed by using a supported PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader) with specific settings.
If you can view standards online and want to download and view standards as PDFs, download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader to your personal device.
In Adobe Acrobat Reader, disable the "Global Object Security Policy (GOSP)" setting:
- From the top menu bar, select 'Edit'
- Select 'Preference'
- Under 'Categories', select 'JavaScript'
- Uncheck the field 'Enable global object security policy'
- Ensure the 'Enable Acrobat JavaScript' field is checked
Once this is complete, download standard from SAI Global i2i and save to your device. Open file with Adobe Acrobat Reader, then:
- A pop-up Security Warning stating 'This document is trying to connect to doc.drm.saiglobal.com...' will appear the first time you open and view the downloaded file
- Check the box 'Remember this acting...'
- Select 'Allow'
